There are a few reminders this week:

We are looking forward to hearing the testimony of Simon Luginbuhl on Saturday, January 13th at 7pm. There will be an all church meal at 5:30pm prior to testimonies on Saturday. There will also be an all church meal on Sunday after the baptism, Lord willing.

A couple announcements this week:

We are looking forward to hearing the testimony of Simon Luginbuhl on Saturday, January 13th. There will be an all church meal at 5:30pm prior to testimonies on Saturday. There is a food sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. There will also be an all church meal on Sunday after the baptism.
Sunday, January 28th will be the Annual business meeting, Lord willing. Other events for 2024 are included in the calendar - also attached here.

Reminder that there is no Weds evening service this week, due to New Year's falling mid-week.

A few reminders this week:

Christmas Day services on Monday the 25th will take place of Weds evening services next week
The following week for New Year's Eve services on Sunday 12/31: instead of going home and coming back for an extra evening service, we plan to have a couple of hours of fellowship with snack after our normal Sunday Church services
The Annual business meeting is planned for Sunday, January 28th after Church.

The month of November is set aside for collection for the national Harvest Call.
This coming Saturday, Nov 11th is set aside for Memorandum. Lord willing, we plan to have a meal at 5:30pm followed by Memorandum at 7pm. Elder Bro. Bob Dotterer plans to be with us.
We rejoice that, Lord willing, testimony and baptism are planned for Simon Luginbuhl on January 13th-14th, 2024. Elder Bro. Nick Gutwein from West Lafayette, IN plans to be with us.

HarvestCall’s next large-scale winter rebuilding ministry will be in Jennings, Louisiana. Online registration is required for all team members and opens at noon Central time on Wednesday, November 15th at www.harvestcall.org. More information is attached .

Reminder about the Hospital Lumiere Benefit Auction:

Please mark your calendars for the Hospital Lumiere Benefit Auction coming up in November. There will be an online auction from Thursday, November 2 at 4 p.m. through Saturday, November 4 at 4 p.m., and a live, in-person auction on Friday, November 10th in Gridley, IL at 7:00 p.m. with a meal starting at 4:30.

Registration for the 2023 Apologetics Conference on Saturday, November 11 in Indianapolis is now open to all interested attendees. Registration is required and will close on November 1. The purpose of the conference is to raise awareness of what apologetics is, why it matters, and provide entryways into major apologetic questions. This year's theme is: Does God Matter?
While "Does God exist?" may be one of mankind’s most fundamental questions, our increasingly secular society seems to be asking a different question: "Does it even matter?" Join us at the 2023 Apologetics Conference as we discuss how to respond to atheism and apathy.

APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN LIFEPOINTS

We have been blessed by the support and love of the brotherhood since 1971 when the agency started services. We depend on this support to allow us to serve as God would have us to serve, and to be obedient to His call and His Word. We are moved daily by the love, support, prayers and donations from the brotherhood.

1. We are grateful to be one of the national missions of the Apostolic Christian Church and are very grateful for the high level of commitment we feel from the church.

2 The expenses and revenues for LifePoints are all changed in response to the needs related to the COVID crisis. We are impressed with the response of the State and Federal government supporting some additional funding and this has been helpful in meeting the costs of assuring adequate staff for the needs related to this crisis.

3. We do not know what our “new normal” will be in terms of services or funding so we are grateful for the ongoing generosity of all of our supporters.

4. Donations will continue to be used for the following:

a. Serving church-related clients: To provide funding for clients who are not eligible for Medicaid funds but for whom we are committed to serve because they are church related clients.

b. Funding shortfall: To make up the difference between the amounts reimbursed by Medicaid and the actual costs of serving our clients.

c. Staff stabilization: To allow us to pay competitive wages and benefits to assure sufficient and quality staff.

d. Capital Needs: To accommodate the need for periodic renovations, improvements, and new capital projects.

We are thankful to be a part of a church that supports those in need. We have often been told to make our needs known and if there is a need for greater financial support we should make that known. Many people have said they were willing and want to be a part of assuring there is sufficient support. We are deeply grateful to know this is true.

Three announcements this week:

August is set aside for collection for Brotherhood Operations Fund and Silver Lining. Suggested donation is $75 per member (Brotherhood Operations) and $20 per household (Silver Lining print publication). Individual checks or a combined check can be submitted.
Saturday evening, August 19th, is set aside for local Harvest Call. Singing and an activity will begin at 7pm at Church. In addition to the activity, new or gently used winter coats are being collected to donate overseas. For any questions, please see Bro. Joel or Sis. Laura Isch.
Please be prayerful for the General Conference happening this week in Morton, IL. Please see below for a note from the Morton representatives about attending live in-person or virtually.

While we hope our Morton Church is packed next Friday, August 11th for the General Brotherhood Conference, the event will be video livestreamed, which will be accessible via three pathways:

AC Central – look for Morton under “Streaming Now” or “Sermons”

Morton Website – there will be a “Watch Live” button on the home page

ACCA Website – there will be a “Watch Live” button under Resources/Brotherhood

As a reminder, congregational singing will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by Morning Conference Presentations from 9:00 to 11:30. The lunch break will be from 11:30 to 1:00, with singing beginning at 12:30 p.m., followed by Afternoon Conference Presentations from 1:00 to 3:30. If you can’t join us in-person, we hope you can participate in the conference via video livestreaming.

We are excited to host the ACCA Conference next week and pray that God will be glorified, and our national church strengthened and edified.

we will have 6 sisters with us on Sunday 7/16 (Misha Cox (Washington, IL), Crystal Reinhard (Bluffton, IN), Cami Wiegand, Jen Kloter (Rockville, CT), Angela Steffen (Chicago, IL), Leah Anlicker (Elgin, IL)
schedule is M-Th 6:15-8:15pm for students. Friday will start a little earlier with the full Church (see below)
Friday night will include the full Church body. We plan to have a meal, the students will share a program and there will be a topical presentation by Bro. Mark Klaus from Athens, AL

From Gateway Woods: As we anticipate the retirement of our current Executive Director in about a year, the Gateway Woods board of directors is beginning its search to fill this position. We ask you to join us as we pray that God would call the right person to lead this Apostolic Christian ministry that provides hope and healing to hurting children and families. If you know someone who might be a good candidate, or if you feel that God may be calling you, please see the attachment for more information.

March is set aside for collection for Gateway Woods
This Wednesday evening's service time will be dedicated to sharing an update from the Midwinter Conference (3/29)
Next Wednesday, there are no Weds evening services. Services will be held Friday at 7:30pm for Good Friday (4/7)

Please hold JULY 17-21 for Vacation Bible School (VBS).
There is a new monthly Apostolic Christian Church Email newsletter. Starting April 3, there will be an additional way to:

• Learn about new Apostolic Christian content (podcasts, articles, etc.)

• Hear from church leadership on timely topics

• Stay up to date on national and regional AC events

• Gain a deeper appreciation for the brotherhood

• Discover new AC Bookstore products

ACCFS will be hosting its 2023 Perfecting Love Discipleship Conference on Saturday, April 15th, in Leo, IN. This year's theme is Discipleship in Community, and we look forward to a time of learning and fellowship as we consider the impact which those around us can have on our discipleship. This conference is designed to encourage attendees in their personal walk with Jesus as well as support those who are helping others on this journey. ALive 23

The Athens, Alabama congregation invites everyone to attend ALive 23 over Memorial Day Weekend on May 26 th – May 29 th for a wonderful weekend filled with cross-generational fellowship, beautiful singing and Biblical teachings. The weekend event will be held at The Vision, a 300+ acre Christian retreat in Huntsville, Alabama.
This year three brothers, Bro. Kent Levy (Morton, IL), Bro. Nathan Robbins (Athens, AL) and Bro. Chad Heiniger (Sarasota, FL) plan to speak during the event over the theme, “Live No Lies”. These speaker sessions will be centered on combatting deceptive ideas (Lies of the Devil) that play to disordered desires (Lies of the Flesh) that are normalized in a sinful society (Lies of the World).

Local visitation in Downingtown is confirmed for Monday evening. Visitation starting at 6:30pm followed by a brief service at 7:30pm will be held at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA today, Monday, January 30, 2023.
Calling hours at Rockville Church are Wednesday, 2/1, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The funeral service is planned for Thursday, 2/2 at 10:15am at the Rockville Church.

An update on Sis Henrietta Meyer:

Henrietta flew into Peoria Weds. to check on a condo she hopes to buy. She passed out and fell at the airport, breaking a bone in lower leg just above the ankle. From the ER, she was admitted to the hospital (OSF). They checked out her heart and she has a boot on her right foot. She is currently staying with Ed Baer's sister, Linda. Please be prayerful for a speedy recovery.

Gateway Woods has a crucial need for house parents. As you probably know, Gateway Woods only hires house parents from within the membership of the Apostolic church. We are getting close to the point where we will need to turn away kids in need of our level of care due to a lack of house parent staff. We have not had a house parent couple applicant in two years. We believe our denomination supports the mission of Gateway Woods and that God is still leading people into his service. We would encourage couples/families to pray about this opportunity to take the gospel to young people and families who are in some of the most vulnerable places in their lives. This is a full-time paid position with benefits in one of the most highly rated residential treatment facilities in Indiana.
